About Jack Hammer

Jack Hammer is one of NetEnt’s all-time greats – so good, in fact, that it spawned a sequel in double-quick time. It’s themed around the seedy, seamy world of the 1950’s private detective. Think Dick Tracy and you get the idea - as Hammer is a cartoon character.

The comic book format used is both authentic and perfect for a slot game, and as with the classic Film Noir flicks of the era in which it’s set there’s a credible villain in the vicious Dr Wuten, who in this story is attempting to take over the city with a dastardly chemical bomb plot. Expect plenty of corrupt officials, alleyway punch-ups, hard-boiled reporters and double agent vulnerable women.

To match the storyline there’s a suitably labyrinthine plot used for the gameplay element too. It’s a challenge, but it’s achievable and the rewards are well worth it once you’ve got a handle on how it all works:

Firstly, every symbol in the game spins independently. This essentially transforms this 5 reel slot machine into a 15 reel one, but there’s much more to it than that. It also features a sticky win feature, free spins and wild symbols.

Bonus Rounds

Every time there’s a winning pay-line or at least 3 free spins symbols, the Sticky Win feature is activated and re-spins all the other symbols apart from the already winning ones. Why? To allow even more wins! This feature lasts as long as there are no new wins, so it’s possible to fill all reels with the same symbols taking down a massive payout!

Given as there are 15 independently spinning reels at Jack Hammer slot, you will have to make more free spins symbols make an appearance before free spins are triggered. To start things off, you will be awarded with these, when at least 5 free spins symbols appear. Then it’s all progressive – the more symbols appear, the more spins are awarded with up to 30 available in total.

The maximum win is fixed at £250,000, however you can adjust betting levels to try and get this amount more quickly if you wish.

Jack Hammer isn’t a progressive jackpot game so there are no large wins reported to the press, though the upper limit means that a well-played run of decent luck could be very lucrative indeed so approach this game with care, get fully-acquainted with the characters and the storyline and see what comes forth. You may be surprised at what you can win, and how much your slots playing can improve.

Variance is medium on this game, but it has a very low house edge with an expected £97 to be won for every £100 wagered which puts it way above the industry average, making it excellent value for money.
